2017-08-16: LinuxKit Security SIG Recap

Hi all,

Thank you for joining us during the LinuxKit Security SIG meeting last week!

We’ve compiled the notes and video from this meeting, in case you missed us or would like to revisit the discussion:

meeting notes
video recording
full agenda and meeting report

Nigel Edwards presented the okernel project from HPE, which separates the kernel into separate privilege levels to protect kernel integrity. There is a demo in the video recording, and you can try out okernel in the LinuxKit project today.

Please feel free to comment here if you have any questions about the content.

We’ll be shifting to a monthly cadence, so our next meeting will be held in mid-September. Many of us will be in Los Angeles for OSS NA, LPC, and LSS – let us know if you’ll be there, as we will try to meet in person.

Please stay tuned for a finalized time and date!

Thanks,

Riyaz
